Sea Turtles 911

Sea Turtles are Endangered: Help!
   Release
Turtles deemed fit to survive in the wild are released on the beaches of Sanya Bay on Hainan Island. Baby sea turtles are released at the nearest beach to where the eggs were bought, where in all likelihood the eggs were laid. We release as close as possible to where the turtles were likely caught or eggs laid in the hope of disrupting their natural tendencies as little as possible.

Unlike other sea turtle conservation agencies, we do not tag our sea turtles when we release them. Our primary goals are to rescue and release as many animals as our resources allow and to educate the local people, by force of fines and penalties imposed by the local government as is often necessary, on the importance of sea turtle conservation and on the dire consequences of the poaching, sale, and consumption of sea turtles.

Sea Turtles 911 inspired a group of chinese gamers who love playing World of Warcraft to help release two sea turtles named after the WoW characters, Thrall and Arthas. Thrall and Arthas came close to being served at a local restaurant 3 months ago. This rescue & release mission was funded by the U.S. WoW power leveling company.
